During my September 2025 visit to Grand Teton National Park, I was fortunate enough to have several unforgettable wildlife encounters. This post is dedicated entirely to the majestic Moose!
I spotted Moose across various corners of the park, each moment more thrilling than the last. My most memorable sighting was near the main park road, right where the Antelope Flats junction meets Mormon Row. Two young bull moose appeared, traversing the meadow before crossing the road right in front of me! I even captured a brief, playful display of male dominance as they "sparred."
Later, I found a large bull moose grazing along Gros Ventre Road—a well-known spot, but always a privilege to witness. I also had the joy of spotting them while hiking the beautiful trails to Taggart and Bradley Lakes, and along the South Fork Cascade Canyon Trail near Jenny Lake.
