My thoughts:

In my view Pike Place Market is a must visit stop while you are in Seattle. Come and visit here and enjoy the atmosphere, the market stands, stores and flea stands, for the food/drinks, and for people watching.

The visit:

The market is a major visiting destination for tourists and locals alike and it offer large verity of stores. It is home to more than 500 shops, from farm-fresh produce, fish stands, shops, flea market, restaurants, and bars.

The market start to operate in 1907 and is one of the oldest continuously operated public farmers' markets in the United States.

This market is operative in this location since 1907 and it is one of Seattle most popular tourist attractions.

You can find many restaurants and coffee shops in the streets surrounding Pike Place Market and inside the main market building.

The Market is built on the edge of a steep hill and consists of upper street level and underground hallways. From the upper level you are overlooking the background view of Elliott Bay waterfront.

One of the famous attractions is to see Pike Place Fish stand where employees are is throwing the fish around. The stand is located at the main market building entrance, just under the clock.

Here you can also see the market mascot, a pig golden statue.

It is always fun place to visit, explore the stores, the sands, and enjoy the vivid crowded unique atmosphere of this place.

A "new local attraction" is the small ally below the market, Post Alley, that it walls are covered with chewing gum.

In the market street you can find Starbucks first opened store. This first store open its doors on March 30, 1971 at Seattle's historic Pike Place Market and it is operating since then.
Nothing special here today but you will always find a long line of people waiting to buy coffee here.
