San Francisco - Financial District

 San Francisco - Financial District

The Financial District is the city’s business center, there aren’t many tourist attractions over here.

You will pass through this area when you want to walk from Union Square to the Ferry Building at the end of Market St or when you visit the nearby South of Market St (SoMa) area.

You can visit the no-admission small Wells Fargo Museum (420 Montgomery St) that provides interesting information on Wells Fargo and SF history, including an original stagecoach, and 1906 Earthquake and Fire.

You can walk through the open Embarcadero Center for shopping, dining, and watching the interesting buildings architecture.

This center is spans four full city blocks in the Financial District east section.

Up until the building of Salesforce Tower (2018) the Transamerica Pyramid (1972) that is located at the north of the Financial District was the tallest skyscraper in the San Francisco and dominate it skyline, its unique sharp tall pyramid shape is still iconic even today.
